I was raised in Tahoe and it has been my home for over 30 years.  I returned to Tahoe bringing my passion, knowledge, and the experience I gained to help improve the health and well being of others in our amazing community.

I received my Masters of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University of Natural Medicine as well as a Bachelors Degree in Natural Health Sciences.  I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California and have my National Certification in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.  While in school, I attended Cortiva Institute Brenneke School of Massage and obtained my Massage Therapy License.  I broadened my studies to include CranioSacral Therapy with instructors from IBI and Acutonics from the Kairo Institute of Sound Healing.  Following graduation, I completed a course blending Five Element Acupuncture with Traditional Chinese Medicine through Five Elements Under Two Skies taught by Lonny S. Jarrett.

In order to provide the most safe and effective treatments, I completed numerous internships in and around Seattle, Washington.  These internships included: Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medicine, Abundant Spring with Lee Hullender Rubin, DAOM, LAc., and Tiger Mountain Center for Acupuncture with Christina M. Jackson, L.Ac., M.Ac.  These experiences have provided me with specialized training in Fertility, Gynecology, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and Addiction.  I also traveled to China completing an internship at four different hospitals in Shanghai with the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in Women’s Health and Pain Management.

My passion lies in educating and empowering my patients about their health.  I encourage them to be active participants in their own healing process.  I strongly believe that educating patients about their health issues, health care options, and lifestyle choices aids in achieving better health and overall well being.  I’m dedicated to my patients and the future of the natural health profession.  My goal is to assist others in attaining a healthier life.
